Terms and Conditions
Statement of Investment & Financial Terms
1. The Professional Block Model
All consultancy services are billed in Professional Blocks. A single block consists of up to 120 minutes of professional time.
- Direct Contact: Typically 60–75 minutes of face-to-face or virtual consultation.
- The ‘Engine Room’: The remaining balance of the block is dedicated to technical administration, strategy mapping, research, and post-session synthesis.
- Invoicing: By booking, you agree to the fee for the entire block. We do not offer pro-rata refunds for direct contact sessions that end early due to child-led requirements or regulation needs.
2. Payment Terms
- Standard Consultation: Payment is due in full at the time of booking to secure the diary slot.
- Specialist Packages: A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to initiate the ‘Initial Audit’ or ‘Deep-Dive’ phase. The remaining balance is due prior to the commencement of Week 2.
- Corporate & Educational Invoicing: Terms are strictly 28 days from the invoice date. Late payments will incur a 5% weekly surcharge to cover administrative recovery costs.
3. Cancellation & Rescheduling
As an independent specialist service, our capacity is limited. We operate a strict notice policy:
- Over 48 Hours Notice: No charge; the session may be rescheduled.
- 24–48 Hours Notice: A 50% cancellation fee applies to cover the ‘Engine Room’ preparation already undertaken.
- Under 24 Hours/No-Show: The full fee is retained.
- Venue Flexibility & Pivot Policy
- We understand that needs can change on the day. You may request a Change of Venue (switching from face-to-face to a phone call, online video, or text-based session) up to 4 hours prior to our scheduled start time.
- How to request: Please send this request via text message to ensure it is seen in time.
- Why 4 hours? This allows me to adjust my travel and ensures I don’t miss your message while I am in session with other families.
- The PDA/Regulation Pivot: If a child is unable to engage at the start of a session, no pressure is applied. The session will naturally transition into an organic, low-demand space focused on relationship building rather than formal strategy. These sessions, including venue switches, are billed at our standard fees.
4. Professional Advocacy & Travel
- Attendance Fees: Attendance at Annual Reviews, Tribunals, or CIN/CP meetings is billed at the Independent Professional Advocacy rate (£200). This covers the meeting (up to 2 hours) and the pre/post-briefing notes, additional hours taken are billed at £90 per hour.
5. Intellectual Property & Documentation
- All bespoke manuals, Pupil Passports, and strategy roadmaps remain the intellectual property of Alberstone Consultancy.
- Fees paid grant the client a lifetime license to use these documents for the specific child’s support. They may not be redistributed, sold, or used for commercial training purposes without written consent.
6. Annual Rate Adjustment
The Alberstone Standard is subject to an annual fee review every quarter. Clients will be given 30 days’ notice of any changes to the Professional Block rates.
Acceptance
By proceeding with payment for an Initial Consultation or Specialist Package, you confirm your acceptance of these Financial Terms as a supplement to the Alberstone Master Policy Handbook.
